Personal History: Ichigo has always been able to see spirits his entire life. When he was a child, he couldn't tell the difference between the dead and the living. This lead to the situation that caused his mother's death at the hands of a hollow when he was eight. He lived with his father and his younger twin sisters. At the age of fifteen, he met a shinigami named Rukia, introducing him to a new side of the afterlife. Rukia gave him her powers so he could save his sisters from a hollow that was attacking them. By getting her powers, he became a shinigami as well. Over the course of his time as a shinigami, he discovered he had a hollow living inside of him his entire life. After losing his powers to stop Aizen, he was cut off from his hollow and even the lifelong ability to see spirits.

After gaining his powers back, Ichigo ended up having to fight another war on behalf of the shinigami. During this time he found out that his inner hollow is really the proper spirit of his sword, allowing them to become properly in sync. Now that the war against the Quincys is over, he's trying to put his focus back on having a normal, human life, even if he is far from normal. Now, halfway through med school, he's well on his way to being able to take over his family's clinic

Personality: Ichigo is very strong willed and stubborn. Once he believes he has the right of something, he's very hard to sway away from that. He's also got a habit of sticking his nose in others' business when he thinks they need help. Even if they don't know they need help. Because he's in med school, and the son of a doctor, he is very quick to jump in to help. Because the kanji he uses for his name mean "Number one protector" he is also quick to jump headfirst into a fight to defend people when they are in danger. Most of the time he can be easy going, and he's quick to try and make friends with others.

Main Motivation: Ichigo's main motivation is protecting the people he cares about.

Skills: Shinigami skills: Soul burial=helps souls pass over to the other side before they can become corrupt. Soul purification=purifying corrupted souls that have turned into hollows by cutting them down with a sword. Shunpo=flash step, a very fast method of moving. Shikai=usually the first level of power up for a Shinigami, Ichigo is permanently stuck in Shikai because he's too strong. Bankai=second level of power up. For Ichigo it makes him faster as well as making stronger overall. Masked form=because of the hollow inside of him, Ichigo can draw on his mask and get extra power from his inner hollow. It also causes him to grow a horn from the left side of his head. Zanjutsu=means sword skills. While his sword is massively huge, he is highly skilled in using it to purify hollows and battle opponents.
Human skills: Hand to hand combat=Due to his orange hair, Ichigo has been bullied a lot in his life. He started fighting back against the bullies and is a skilled brawler. Medical skills=due to growing up with the clinic his father runs as part of the house as well as being a med student, Ichigo is more than proficient with first aid, he can do very simple superficial surgical procedures, like setting bones and doing sutures.

Item: Substitute reaper combat pass. This is a small, wooden badge on a short white rope. If he presses it to his chest, it allows him to leave his body and go into his shinigami form.
